The Hawke’s Bay Wine Company has a reputation for making some of Hawke’s Bay’s top wines. Located in Pandora, Napier, we have one of the best-appointed wineries in the country, set up to handle large commercial volumes along with producing small batches of consistently great wine.
But it’s not all about the plant and machinery. Over the last few years, we’ve brought together a group of people who have the right stuff to help us make the wines our clients want to make. The right people, precision, intuition, and toys are what a winery needs to create great wine.
To keep us running on point, we are looking for a process-driven and systems-focused Winery Administrator with spot-on eye for detail and awesome communication skills, with the ability to view projects long term and think strategically to maintain our existing systems.
Reporting directly to the Winemakers, you will work in the area of Supply Chain Operations, be responsible for maintaining the company’s compliance programs, health and safety and Dry goods inventory across both the Hawkes Bay Wine Company and Te Awanga Estate. The role also encompasses the co-ordination of export and shipping, product registration, transport logistics planning and document execution.
Working closely with the winemaking team and an outside Compliance Consultant, you’ll have a positive attitude with the ability to multitask and work to deadlines in a concise, organised manner. You’ll be a true team player adding value to the fun, passionate team you'll love being a part of. This is a varied role undertaking a range of activities.
Your key areas of responsibility will be:
- Maintaining our Health & Safety System.
- Managing our Accreditations Process; BRC, HACCP, SWNZ, WSMP and BioGro.
- Vinsight - Dry goods management.
- Maintaining Scheduling system and records for winery intake and operations.
- Wine Export Eligibility and certificates of Origin
- Export and Domestic Freight Forwarding, Shipping transport and documentation.
- WineWorks – Export Containers, Bottling and Stock Management.
Skills and Experience:
- Management of Stock Control Systems
- Winery Operations and Processes
