We’re looking for an experienced Cellar Hand to join our team in a permanent, full-time role at our Marlborough site.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Carry out day-to-day cellar operations safely and efficiently 
• Support wine processing, transfers, filtration, and cleaning 
• Operate winery equipment and maintain high hygiene standards 
• Follow SOPs and contribute to continuous improvement 
• Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing cellar team 

About You:

• 3+ vintages cellar experience required 
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability 
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work 
• Reliable, motivated, and team-focused 
• Positive attitude and commitment to safety 

Our Winery Technology 

Giesen operates one of the world’s most technically advanced winery sites, with exposure to: 

• Spinning cone column 
• Crossflow filtration systems 
• Decanters and distillation column 
• Grape juice concentrator 
• Velcorin dosing systems

Working Hours:

• Standard: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday–Friday 
• Flexibility for shift work and night shifts during the harvest period 
• Vintage: up to 12-hour shifts, 6 days/week 

Eligibility 

You must be a New Zealand resident or hold permanent work rights in NZ. 

This role is not suitable for working holiday or sponsorship visa holders.
