We are seeking a positive, capable and self-motivated individual to join our team based at our Isabel Estate winery in Blenheim.
Pinnacle Drinks is a company comprising of wineries and bottling facilities based in both Marlborough (Isabel Estate) and in the Barossa Valley (Dorrien Estate & Vinpac). The business maintains a high priority on premium quality product and performance results.
An exciting opportunity has become available as a Cellar Hand with Pinnacle Drinks NZ based at Isabel Estate in the beautiful region of Marlborough.
The succesful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 years experience and be familiar with all aspects of winery process. Being part of a small winery and vineyard operation the succesful candidate will be required to perform a multitude of cellar tasks, complete basic labortory analysis and assist with bottling line operations. The person fulfilling this role will demonstrate the following attributes and skills:
- Cellar Hygiene and tidiness are paramount.
- Have proficient English and strong communication skills.
- Have good numerical skills.
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to multitask.
- Competence in using all winery equipment including forklift.
- Have a focus on safety.
- Hard working with a quality focus and an eye for detail.
Additionally, applicants will have a self-starting attitude with the energy and drive required to be effective in a diverse, challenging and rewarding role. During the annual vintage (approximately mid-March to mid-May) there will be a requirement to work weekends, with hours significantly in excess of 40 hours per week during the peak of this period.
This is a physically active role, so a good level of fitness is important. Additional as part of this role you need to have a full, clean Driver’s License. As this is a permanent, full-time role only those with the right to work in New Zealand will be considered.
The succesful applicant will form part of a smalll and dedicated team so a positive attitude and good sense of humour are essential.
