A dynamic, multi-region wine processing company in Marlborough, New Zealand Wineries provides winemaking services for NZ and international wine producers. With facilities offering small batch to large volume processing, they work with a diverse range of wine styles and client philosophies.
New Zealand Wineries has a rare opportunity for a Compliance and Safety Manager to join their senior leadership team.
In this key role, you will be accountable for the development and implementation of quality compliance and safety management systems across the sites. Responsibilities include:
• Creating and implementing strategic direction for the compliance systems, and safety within the wineries;
• Design and management of processes and procedures to be compliant with regulations and international standards;
• Managing the HACCP programs, audits, training and site documentation; and
• Managing all aspects of the laboratories completing wine analyses.
To be considered you will have a collaborative approach, an ability to lead and influence others and a strong attention to detail and process.
Experience in the manufacturing, health or regulatory areas, or closely related is key as well as a strong knowledge of leading quality and safety in a food processing plant with training in HACCP. A degree in Engineering or Food Sciences or similar is required.
Wine industry knowledge preferred but not essential.
