The company
Forrest Estate Wines is a small, family-owned and operated winery in the heart of the Marlborough wine growing region specialising in lighter wine production.
The winery works with many different grape varieties from their Marlborough vineyards and process smaller volumes of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris from their Central Otago and Waitaki Valley vineyards.
They have a small, permanent team who are passionate about making high-quality wines that are expressive of their place in New Zealand.
The job
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, Forrest Estate are looking to cover a maternity leave vacancy with a part-time role. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing inventory, domestic and export logistics, as well as bottling and dry goods supply. The role also involves communicating with customers, suppliers, and freight forwarders. In addition, the Logistics Coordinator will also undertake administration tasks for the Winery, Marketing and Cellar Door team.
As a dynamic and open-minded employer, Forrest Estate Wines will offer flexible part-time hours for the right candidate. This is a 7-month fixed-term role, starting the beginning of July 2020.
The ideal candidate
Joining a fantastic team, you will be an intelligent, energetic and motivated person who enjoys hard work and laughter. Ideally, you will have a logistics background and understand global supply chains. Inventory management will be second nature to you.
Analytical with a strong attention to detail, you will have robust systems experience - ideally with Xero, and other ecommerce platforms. Wine industry experience would be preferable but is not essential.
Additionally, you will be a natural communicator, a team player, and able to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
