About the Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for becoming the subject matter expert on various aspects of the winery, help support the role out of a maintenance plan and continuous improvement through the recommendation and implementations of modifications, ensuring the highest quality, minimum amount of downtime whilst maintaining safety both individually and for the wider team.
An important aspect of this role is the efficient installation of new equipment and further optimisation of the wineries current equipment to allow for future increases in volume. The role also entails the maintenance and enhancement of employee safety and morale by creating a safer and more efficient working environment.
Whilst this role is maintenance focused there is a requirement from time to time to support the day to day running of the winery.
Reporting to the Winery Manager, and working with the Cellar Supervisor and external contractors, the Maintenance Engineer plays a key role within the Winery.
Skills and Experience
- 3 years engineering experience
- Stainless welding and machining skills/qualifications
- Managing preventative maintenance programmes
- Proactive in decision making and problem solving
- Health & Safety focused
- Good team player
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact at all levels
- Flexible approach to work hours (as some weekend work may be required)
