We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of New Zealand Winegrowers, the national industry body for grape growers and wineries, and provide all of their research.
Our state-of-the-art Research Winery opened in February 2020 on the NMIT campus in Blenheim. From here, we partner with industry and other research organisations to set the national research agenda, trial world-first technologies, conduct commercial trials, and connect educators and students to science and industry.
The BRI research winery, while operating under commercial standards, is like no other. Making wine in our facility – which has over 240 individual small-scale wine tanks – is a unique experience and will keep you on your toes. Come join our team, using your skills to push the boundaries of what’s possible in New Zealand winemaking.
