SWNZ Administrator and Project Coordinator (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

NZ Winegrowers Inc represents and promotes the interests of the NZ grape and wine industry. Sustainable Winegrowing NZ (SWNZ) is NZ Winegrowers' sustainability programme for the industry ensuring that members meet their sustainability goals.

The primary purpose of this role is to support members and contribute to the success of Sustainable Winegrowing NZ (SWNZ) and NZ Winegrowers by ensuring the efficient administration of the SWNZ programme and its processes and procedures, as well as the effective coordination of any associated projects.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the general administration and ongoing review of the SWNZ programme, including the analysis of data relating to key components of the programme and the accurate reporting of these analyses to the Business Manager. The successful applicant will also be responsible for coordinating any SWNZ-related projects that arise, and for the development, maintenance, control and documentation of SWNZ information systems and external audit processes. A key part of this role will be building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers and NZ Winegrowers to meet the operational requirements of the SWNZ team.

Key attributes include:

  • Good written and verbal levels of communication with well-developed presentation skills.
  • Experience with project coordination/management and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills – a background in research is an advantage.
  • Organised multi-tasker able to reassess priorities as the need arises with the ability to work independently, under pressure and deliver to timelines.
  • Analytical with the foresight to identify potential problems and initiate effective solutions.
  • Details focused, with good understanding of systems and process mapping; able to implement organisational pathways and quality control.
  • Understanding of computer systems and a high level of computing skills including spread sheets, database management, reporting, web-based applications and presentation applications.
  • Ability to build trust, respect and positive relationships with members, staff, auditors and associated industry personnel.
  • Reasonable knowledge of the NZ wine industry is an advantage.
  • Experience with Grapelink and WiSE software systems is an advantage.

The successful applicant must reside in the Marlborough region with a suitable mode of transport to commute to and from the workplace, Monday to Friday.
