Our Marlborough Winery has a Lab team who are supervised by a Lab Team Leader. This role takes responsibility and oversees the day to day running of the Laboratory, to provide the winemaking team with accurate and timely analysis on grape juice and wine.  Additional to this the role supports operational production through organising, supervising and allocating workload to the lab team, and meeting quality, budget, legal and technical requirements for the various brands produced by the Winery.

This role requires someone with management or supervision experience. You will help supervise the lab staff, and plan rosters, help with recruitment and other management support. You will need to have four plus years’ experience in a large commercial winery lab, you need to have worked through at least four vintages. Ideally you will have WECS Certification, knowledge of FOSS Winescan and an understanding of WET Chemistry analysis. You need some skill and experience in managing budget and CAPEX application/management.

We are recruiting for someone with potential start date in August 2020. Our winery is based in Riverlands, Marlborough, with a team of four within the Lab.  We provide staff parking and a generous product allowance.
