Spring Creek Vintners is a 12,000t family-owned winery with company vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere Valley, Marlborough. With a state-of-the-art winery, world class vineyards and a large contract grower supply base, we produce premium wines for some of New Zealand's leading brands as well as our own award-winning Rapaura Springs and Summerhouse labels.
An opportunity currently exists for the permanent role of Vineyard Leading Hand.
Reporting to the Vineyard Manager and working closely with other staff, applicants must have at least three years’ experience in a vineyard operational role.
The successful person will be responsible for supervising staff and tractor and machinery work on a state-of-the-art vineyard, currently 130ha, with development plans for expansion next season. Utilising all brand-new equipment and new technologies this is an opportunity to be involved at the cutting edge of modern viticulture.
Valued skills for this position include experience with a wide range of vineyard equipment and well-versed in sprayer set up and operation. The successful applicant will have the ability to build rapport and trust around them, be able to show initiative and collaborate well with staff and the manager. Being a self-motivating individual, will take pride in your work and enjoy being outdoors. Flexible work hours are by mutual agreement. Any outstanding certificates and licenses and further training is provided by Spring Creek Vintners.
