We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vineyard Manager to joining our business and oversea operations across our Marlborough Vineyards.

The Vineyard Manager is accountable for all aspects of the company owned and leased vineyards in Marlborough, NZ . As well as working closely with the winemaking and grower relations team to maximise the performance of the Matua NZ business, ensuring key business objectives are met through the application of best practice in the areas of viticulture, commercial, human resource and HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) management.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities will include:

• Setting the strategic direction of the Marlborough company and leased vineyards to align with broader ANZ and company goals
• Establishing yield and end use targets to maximise profitability and sustainability
• Establishing and maintaining employee performance management
• Maintaining a focus to ensure the business establishes and maintains HSE targets
• Allocating capital and operating funds to ensure the vineyard maximises profitability
• Minimise costs of production without compromising “end use” specification of fruit.

 Tertiary qualification in viticulture or agri-business management or related disciplines are a must. Extensive experience managing medium sized teams, commercial acumen and excellent communication skills are imperative to the success of the role.
