Spring Creek Vintners is a 12,000t family owned winemaking facility located in Spring Creek with company vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere Valley, Marlborough. With a state-of-the-art winery, world class vineyards and a large contract grower supply base, we produce premium wines for some of New Zealand's leading brands as well as our own award-winning Rapaura Springs and Summerhouse labels.
We are currently seeking individuals to join our dedicated viticulture team in these key roles:
• Vineyard Operator (Awatere)
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive person with a good eye for detail and potential leadership qualities.
Applicants will need to have proven machinery handling skills and strong practical ability, and be prepared to assist with any role within the vineyard when required.
A willingness to learn and work within a team are essential qualities, along with a willingness to work extended hours on occasion as the season demands.
Applicants must have at least two years’ experience in a vineyard operational role and a class 1 licence. A Growsafe certification and tertiary qualification is desirable, but not essential and full training will be given.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Machinery setup and calibration
- Irrigation and fertigation experience
- Yield forecast counting, estimation and recording
- Vineyard pest and disease identification and control
