We have several work opportunities for the right candidates to work vintage with us in 2024.
Come and work for VinLink, one of Marlborough’s largest and most modern wineries at 25,000 tonne capacity, located in the Riverlands, a 10-minute drive from Blenheim CBD. We are looking for applicants who have a strong safety focus, have a reasonable level of physical fitness and are available to work from late-February/early-March until the end of the grape intake (typically 6 to 8 weeks).
We have a state-of-the-art Laboratory with smart technology and processes as well as a great training programme in place. There is the potential to work beyond vintage, up to the end of June 2024, for the right applicant(s).
The laboratory is an integral part of the winemaking process at vintage time, and we need people with strong attention to detail and great communication skills for the following roles:
Vintage Laboratory Supervisor - about this role:
- Requires a minimum of 2 years winery laboratory experience.
- Previous supervising experience will be well regarded.
- Able to follow standard laboratory processes for the testing and analysis of grape juice, ferments, and finished wine.
- Experience with Sulphur stills, pH meter, turbidmeter and performance of standard wet chemistry in a wine laboratory.
- Ensures compliance with all standard laboratory procedures.
- Shows excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Organised and efficient in data entry.
- Able to work up to 12-hour days for 6 days a week.
- Will require a minimum of 32 hours a week increasing to 74 hours during our peak harvest time.
- Availability to work, day or night shift, Monday to Sunday.
- Hourly rate: $28 - $30 depending on experience on a fixed-term contract.
Vintage Laboratory Technicians - about this role:
- Requires a minimum of 1 year laboratory experience or winery experience.
- Able to follow standard laboratory processees for the testing and analysis of grape juice, ferments, and finished wine.
- Can work both independently and as part of a close team.
- Organised and efficient in data entry.
- Able to work up to 12-hour days, 6 days a week.
- Will require a minimum of 32 hours a week increasing to 72 hours during our peak harvest time.
- Availability to work, day or night shift, Monday to Sunday.
- Hourly rate: $25 - $30 depending on experience on a fixed-term contract.
