Poppies Martinborough is one of New Zealand’s most recognised boutique wineries, known for exceptional wine, genuine hospitality and the meaningful relationships we build with our customers.
We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded and creative person to join us and help drive the next stage of growth for Poppies.
This is a key role focused primarily on growing our Wine Club, ecommerce sales and customer database, while strengthening the personal connection and premium experience that make Poppies unique.
Poppy and Shayne remain the heart and face of the Poppies brand. You’ll work closely alongside them, supporting their vision and voice while managing the systems, communications, digital channels and customer experiences that help grow our community and revenue.
The role
You’ll take responsibility for:
- Growing Wine Club membership, engagement and retention
- Managing and optimising our Commerce7 ecommerce platform
- Driving online sales, subscriber growth and repeat purchasing
- Developing customer campaigns, communications and exclusive offers
- Building meaningful relationships with members and customers
- Managing Facebook and Instagram strategy, content and engagement
- Creating photography, video, reels, stories and digital campaigns
- Coordinating Wine Club events, launches and special experiences
- Monitoring customer, ecommerce and campaign performance
- Identifying opportunities to grow our database, customer loyalty and revenue
About you
You’ll bring experience across ecommerce, digital marketing, customer relationships, hospitality, events or Wine Club management.
You’ll be commercially aware but relationship-driven, with strong communication and storytelling skills and an instinct for creating exceptional customer experiences.
Experience with Commerce7 or similar ecommerce platforms, Facebook and Instagram marketing, Canva, Mailchimp/Klaviyo, Meta Business Suite and CRM systems would be valuable. Photography and video content skills are also important.
