Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Saltwater Seafood Grill and Oyster Bar. As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day restaurant operations, supervising staff, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, quality, and cleanliness.
- Train, motivate, and manage restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and host/hostess teams.
- Create and maintain staff schedules to optimize labor costs and meet service standards.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food and beverage costs.
- Maintain and enforce health and safety standards.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase restaurant revenue and profitability.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain the highest food quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance and report to the restaurant owner.
- Promote and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Participate in staff hiring and performance evaluations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to make informed decisions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and cost control.
- Familiarity with restaurant software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Duty Manager Certificate
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for seafood and a commitment to quality.
