Primarily a bar tending position although there may be times where you are required to jump in help out the team - running food or serving tables. That being said a team player and a multi tasker is essential for this role. Hawker House gets pretty busy and a cool, calm & collected attitude while under the pump is what we need! You will also be knowledgeable in all things beer, wine & cocktails (including coming up with new creations in the cocktail department).
Down to the nitty gritty … requirements …
- at least 2 years working in a similar environment or NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)
- preparing, serving and selling cocktails, mixed drinks, bottled, canned and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a variety of coffee beverages such as lattes, cappuccinos and other espresso-based beverages
- cleaning and maintaining bar service areas, coffee-making areas and espresso machines
- collecting payment for sales and operating cash registers
- promoting services and products
- washing glassware and arranging bottles and glasses
- tapping kegs and attaching supply lines
- replenishing drink dispensers, shelves and refrigerators
- selling light snacks
- selecting and grinding coffee
