Our company is just ten years young but we’re already leading the world in sustainable wine production and now export our award-winning wines to over 75 countries. Our vineyards and winery located in the Awatere Valley, Marlborough showcases stunning coastal views, wetlands, native shrubs and flaxes amongst our vines.
Reporting to the HR Manager and working alongside all levels of the business you will support our people to perform at their best! The business has rapidly grown and you will support 180+ employees globally across Viticulture, Grounds, Wine making, Operations, Sales and Marketing teams.
This will be a full generalist role with the ability to work on a range of exciting people projects we have happening in 2019! You’ll be responsible for;
- HR Compliance – Your excellent organisational skills will ensure we are fully compliant and up to date from maintaining employee files, training and HS records
- HRIS Management – We are mid roll out for a new Self-Service HRIS, you will own this system from training managers to implementing new modules & everything in between
- Recruitment – Supporting our managers with advertising, shortlisting, interviews and reference checking through to providing advice and guidance to promote sound recruitment decisions
- Rewards and Recognition – You will drive and deliver initiatives including coordinating long service awards to managing the quarterly “people’s choice award”
- Engagement – Promoting usage and communication across the company you will be the admin for our internal social engagement tool
- Induction & On boarding – New starters will receive a warm welcome in true Yealands style with you coordinating and facilitating induction days to ensuring all new starter forms done
- Generalist HR Advice & guidance – You will support, guide and influence our Managers providing advice on a range of people issues including employee relations, performance, remuneration and recruitment
You will be a strong team player who is organised, supportive and great at building relationships. You’ll have a sound up to date working knowledge of NZ employment legislation, a relevant tertiary education and the ability to work autonomously as you will support a very busy HR Manager.
You must be adaptable to work in our fun and ever changing environment, things move quickly and you will have proven experience working in fast paced environments. You will have a strong customer service ethos, the ability to influence and a true love of working with genuine and authentic people!
