Brightwater Vineyards is a highly-awarded, family-owned vineyard and winery in sunny Nelson. We produce Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Rose, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Merlot.

We have an opportunity for an experienced winemaker to join our small quality-focused team.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Winemaker with a proven record of making wines from the varieties that we produce. This is a sole-charge winemaking position with the help of an assistant winemaker at vintage. 

The successful applicant will work alongside the owners and vineyard manager in producing the highest possible quality wines each vintage, will be involved in the vineyards and marketing and will have input into key strategy decisions.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A tertiary education qualification in winemaking.
  • Substantial experience in a quality focused winery.
  • Proven technical and creative skills in making quality wines.
