Kemp Wine Merchants / Great Little Vineyards, Auckland-based importer/distributor and retailer of artisan wine brands, is seeking a qualified fine wine specialist to oversee retail, corporate and private client sales.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrated experience in fine wine sales (retail and/or hospitality)
• Extensive knowledge of New Zealand and international fine wine regions and producers, WSET qualification preferred
• Strong customer focus with clear written and verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance and engaging manner
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• General IT abilities a must, any experience in photography/design/social media a strong advantage
• Self-starter, motivated and proactive salesperson able to multitask and work collaboratively within a small team

 

 

Applicants holding the License Controller Qualification and a current Duty Manager’s Certificate are preferred.

 

Salary will be dependent on experience and includes a commissions structure.

 

Hours are full-time (40 hours per week) generally following the Great Little Vineyards shop hours across 5 days per week but may be varied to include weekend or evening event work as required.
