Piccolo is a neighbourhood wine bar and bottle shop just metres from beautiful St Clair Beach in Dunedin. We're known for great wine, quality cocktails, Italian-inspired snacks and genuine hospitality.
We're looking for an experienced Wine Bar Supervisor to join our team and help lead Piccolo into our busy summer season.
This is a hands-on role working alongside our Venue Manager. You'll lead shifts, deliver exceptional service and play an active role in developing our wine offering, staff training and tastings.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent wine knowledge and a genuine passion for wine
- Has 3 plus years experience in a quality restaurant, wine bar, cellar door or similar environment
- Is confident talking about wine with both enthusiasts and people new to wine
- Enjoys sharing knowledge and developing a team
- Has strong leadership, communication and hospitality skills
- Is organised, reliable and happy to be hands-on
- Has a genuine interest in creating a warm and memorable guest experience
- A WSET, CMS or equivalent qualification is highly regarded along with a current General Managers Certificate, but genuine wine knowledge, enthusiasm and experience are most important.
The details:
Full-time | 30plus hours per week | NZD$28-30 per hour based on experience
