Due to internal progression The Tote is is looking for a New Venue Manager to lead the team! Located in the heart of Trentham, directly across from the station and race-course The Tote is a local gem with sports bar, beer garden and bistro. 

Leading and mentoring this passionate team, the role will see you be the face of this great local venue. Reporting to the State manager, you will be responsible for the business from the ground up and given autonomy to take the venue in a unique direction. This role requires requires a Hospitality Professional who can think on their feet and handle many tasks simultaneously.

Essential requirements:

• Minimum 3 years Management experience in a similar large, fast paced environment 
• A desire to drive sales and maintain a positive relationship with the local community 
• Financial acumen fitting of an experienced Manager
• Strong experience in rostering & wage costing 
• Experienced in exceeding sales targets and managing profit
• Local area marketing and social media expertise
• Exceptional food & Beverage knowledge
• Exceptional time management & organisational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written & verbal 
• Solutions focused and strong leadership
• Previous retail bottle shop experience desirable but not necessary  
• Current Managers certification & LCQ
