Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant on Waiheke Island is seeking a Assistant Vineyard Manager. Our vineyards contain a diverse range of varieties which complement Waiheke Island's climate with a focus on producing award winning wines. Reporting to the Viticulturalist the Assistant Vineyard Manager will perform and supervise all day to day operations across our four vineyard sites.
We are seeking applicants who are willing to learn, enthusiastic about a career in the wine industry and have a strong interest in the production of wine. The ability to work efficiently and independently is key.
The role offers the chance to play an important part in Mudbrick’s transition to organic viticulture.
The successful applicant must have:
· Strong work ethic and can-do attitude
· Knowledge in Canopy management, Pest and disease control, Soil health and Young vine care
· The ability to teach, inspire and supervise others
· Experience with vineyard machinery and a competent tractor operator.
· Strong communication skills with focus on team work.
· A full New Zealand Drivers Licence
· Relevant qualifications will be an advantage
