            The Heke, a popular restaurant and FUN bar & restaurant is located on beautiful Waiheke Island. We are an awesome team seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Bartender to join us as soon as possible. 
In just 15 months we’ve established a 5-star reputation for great drinks and food, and as the brand home for our brewery and distillery, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to grow with us and advance quickly.
Phase 2 of our project opens in June 2023; the substantial new distillery and brewery on-site that will be a tourist Mecca offering tours and events. The majority of our hours are day time, offering great work-life balance on this beautiful island. 
As a Senior Bartender, you will be responsible for serving our award-wining products and crafting high-quality cocktails and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Create innovative and delicious cocktails using a wide range of spirits, mixers, and fresh ingredients
 
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain equipment to ensure efficient operation of the bar
 
- Train and mentor junior bartenders to maintain high standards of quality and customer service
 
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with our guests
 
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
 
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised bar area 
 
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a bartender, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior or leadership role
 
- In-depth knowledge of drinks, ingredients, techniques, and trends
 
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
 
- Ability to manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain equipment
 
- A positive attitude, with a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team
 
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
 
- The ability to work in New Zealand, and current license to serve alcohol.
