Westbrook Winery is a small family owned winery situated north of Auckland in Waimauku.  We have been growing grapes in Auckland since 1935 and have a reputation for producing quality, award-winning wines.  From our home block in the Ararimu Valley we produce Pinot Gris, Methode Traditionelle, Malbec, Pinot Noir and our multi-award-winning Chardonnay. From a single vineyard in Marlborough we produce award-winning Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

We are looking for a Part Time Cellar Door Assistant to work in our Vintners Patio Café  and to host wine tastings at our Ararimu Valley Cellar Door in Waimauku.

Our Vintners Patio Café specialises in wine and food matching with a wide selection of platters and pizzas all matched to different wine styles and tasting flights to help ensure the best wine and food experience.

In the Cellar Door we offer three different Tasting Experiences designed to make tasting wine fun as well as educational.

The ideal applicant needs to:

·        Have a  background in hospitality, retail, customer service or wine industry knowledge.

·        Be passionate about all things wine. We can teach you the rest.

·        Be able to work weekends and some weekday shifts.  

·        Be friendly and positive and be able to engage and relate to all visitors.

·        Thrive in a busy environment but able to use initiative to find things to do on quiet days.

·        Have an attention to detail ensuring that tasks are carried out to a high standard.

·        Physically fit as some heavy lifting is required.

·        Be a team player.

·        Be confident using a wide range of technologies.
