Assistant Winemaker
(Wine Jobs:
Vineyards & Cellars )
Full Time
Te Kano Estate
Waitaki Valley,
Southland
Te Kano is a family-owned, quality-focussed wine producer with 60 hectares of Estate vineyards in Central Otago and the Waitaki valley. With our 4 vineyards spread across several subregions and a variety of soils, aspects and elevations, our fruit delivers a unique insight into the effect of terroir on our wines.
We focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and increasingly are making multiple single subregion wines in a range of styles. The coming harvest will see new vineyards coming on stream and adding Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay Noir and Cabernet Franc to the winemaking mix.
Our winery is in Kurow, North Otago, and this is where the job is based. A two-hour drive from Central Otago, and 45 minutes from the Otago coast, the Waitaki Valley offers a range of outdoor activities and is a beautiful place to live and work.
Accommodation onsite in a newly renovated and refurbished farmhouse is included as part of the remuneration for this position.
