Founded in 2017, Te Kano Estate is a Central Otago focused wine company which has undergone a rapid expansion of vineyard area and wine production. Since 2020 we have been operating from our winery in Kurow, North Otago, and are now ready to bring on a permanent team to ensure we have the staff we need to cover the vineyard, winery and bottling operations at our Waitaki Estate year-round.

This job offers a unique opportunity to be involved with all aspects of wine production, from the vineyard, through to the winery, bottling and sales. Following the annual cycle from the grape to the glass, you will have a real opportunity to grow your knowledge and skills, and work alongside a passionate and motivated team.

The key aspects of the role will be:

• Year-round vineyard work following the cycle of the vine
• Winery work during the harvest period
• Bottling and warehousing throughout the year
• Participating in the native planting programs across our Estate vineyards

For interested applicants there also exists the opportunity to work alongside the sales team in the cellar door or at events – rounding out your experience to give a 360 degree view of the industry.
