The team at Choice Bro's Ghuznee are currently seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead our professional and hard-working team. We are a busy craft beer bar and brewery located on Ghuznee St in the heart of Wellington's CBD. Love all things beer, brewing & hospitality? This is a great opportunity for a craft beer enthusiast with previous experience as a venue manager to take the reins and lead one of Wellingtons most beloved brewery & eatery destinations. 

We are a small team in a busy little bar open 5 days per week Tuesday - Saturday, serving food all day, Peoples Coffee and pouring some of the most brewery fresh beer you'll find in town. We are looking for someone who is able to get stuck in and hit the ground running. Someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys leading and developing a team of passionate and dedicated hospitality professionals.


The ideal candidate will be hard working, reliable, self-motivated and have a genuine passion for craft beer and the hospitality industry. Attention to detail is a must, as is a desire to help grow and develop people. Previous knowledge and passion for craft beer would be advantageous. Previous experience as a venue manager is essential. 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a team 
  • Recruitment and staff training
  • Cost of goods and labour cost control 
  • Weekly rosters
  • Stock control and monthly stocktaking
  • Events and functions management
  • Providing inspired leadership for the business
