Your day to day

As a Bartender, you will use your knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and mixology to deliver an outstanding experience for our guests at InterContinental Wellington. You will use your creativity and expertise to provide fast and courteous service of beverages to guests and uphold quality of beverage presentation. You’ll be well versed in New Zealand regulations concerning responsible service and health and safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures are always being met. 

What we need from you

• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer, with a passion for delivering great drinks.
• Previous bar or hospitality experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with guests.
• Reliability, good time-management, and a commitment to high standards.
• NZ Duty Manager Certificate or LCQ (preferred but not essential).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
