The New Zealand Winegrowers Research Centre (NZWRC) will provide cutting-edge, research outcomes and knowledge transfer to benefit New Zealand's entire wine industry and its key stakeholders. Based in Marlborough, the Centre will have a national focus, providing world-leading research for commercial grape and wine production. The intent is to deliver world class research outcomes that helps transform the New Zealand grape and wine industry and enable its ongoing positioning as a leading premium wine producer into the future.
The Chief Executive Officer will lead and manage NZWRC through its establishment phase, including building a high impact team, setting up systems and disciplines required and also develop its critical stakeholder networks. Previous experience with an establishment phase business would be advantageous and a track record of driving business growth is a prerequisite. Your entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with your ability to create disciplined business practices resulting in a commercially focused and sustainable business, will see you excel in this role. You will have an ability to build and manage relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and ideally have had exposure to research as a business.
