Representing a range of 100% family owned and operated New Zealand brands, this role will work directly with the owner of this boutique wine brokerage firm. Working 20-25 hours per week you will provide merchandising, wine tasting and sales support to a portfolio of retailers and grocery accounts, predominantly in the Wellington region.
Brands you will be representing include Astrolabe Wines, Tony Bish Wines, The Bone Line, Butterworth Estate, No.1 Family Estate and many more!
In addition to supporting the existing customer base, you will be required to connect with warm leads and assist in the development of new client relationships. The role will also require the establishment of new clients through cold calling.
Working frontline with customers requires strong interpersonal skills, high standards of personal presentation, excellent service skills and a can-do attitude. As a small business in a competitive market, we will not compromise on service.
Other key elements to the role that we will consider in potential candidates are:
- Ability to travel using own vehicle, with expenses paid
- Flexibility to work outside of business hours from time to time to assist with events, wine tastings or travel outside of Wellington
- Flexibility to work additional hours in seasonal peak times
- Excellent administration skills to be self-managing and to maintain customer details in modern business tools provided
- Ability to work from home or from the Wag & Co. HQ, based in Mt. Victoria, Wellington.
- Foodstuffs systems experience preferred
- Good understanding of Xero and Microsoft Excel preferred
- Passion for wine essential!
- Candidates must be New Zealand citizens and carry a full New Zealand drivers licence
- Candidates must have a clean New Zealand Police record
To ensure your success, you will have clear guidelines from the business owner, tools of the trade will be provided and there will be opportunity to grow with the business. Wine and sales training will be provided for the successful candidate.
We’d love to see someone with experience in either hospitality, FMCG or wine sales but could be flexible for someone with the right attitude and sales capability.
